Bubs2Bratz – Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, purchases, hires, and services provided by Bubs2Bratz, including online, phone, and in-store transactions.

By placing a booking or purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.


2. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Bubs2Bratz complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies available to consumers under the ACL.
Where goods or services fail to meet ACL guarantees, appropriate remedies will be provided as required by law.


3. Bookings & Payment

  • All bookings (including hire, installation, detailing, and other services) must be paid in full at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received and a confirmation email has been issued.

  • Fees paid secure availability and operational resources.


4. Services Provided

Bubs2Bratz provides, but is not limited to:

  • Baby and child equipment hire

  • Accredited child restraint installation (where available)

  • Car seat and capsule detailing/cleaning services

  • Loan equipment (where applicable and available)

Service availability is subject to staffing, operational capacity, and demand.


5. Change of Mind

Refunds are not provided for change of mind purchases, where goods or services have been correctly supplied or remain able to be supplied as agreed.

A change of mind includes, but is not limited to:

  • No longer requiring the item or service

  • Incorrect selection at the time of booking

  • Scheduling or timeframe issues

  • Failure to understand service requirements after booking

  • Personal circumstances changing after confirmation

This policy applies to all services, hire bookings, and retail purchases, unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.


6. Car Seat Detailing & Cleaning Services

  • Car seat detailing requires the restraint to be left in-store for approximately 24–36 hours.

  • This timeframe allows for thorough cleaning, sanitisation, and complete drying of all components, which is necessary to maintain the safety, hygiene, and integrity of the restraint.

  • Timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on the condition of the seat and operational requirements.

  • Customers must remove all personal items prior to drop-off. Bubs2Bratz is not responsible for personal items left in the seat.

  • Loan car seats may be offered as an additional service and are subject to availability and suitability, unless expressly stated otherwise.


7. Hire Equipment – General Conditions

  • All hire items remain the property of Bubs2Bratz.

  • Items must be returned on time, clean, and in the same condition as supplied.

  • Late returns incur hire fees of $10 per day per item, or the replacement value—whichever is less.

  • Items returned incomplete, excessively dirty, damaged, lost, or stolen will incur additional charges up to full replacement cost.


8. Loss, Damage, Theft & Accidents (Hire Items)

  • The hirer is responsible for all hired items for the duration of the hire period.

  • Any car seat or capsule that is involved in a motor vehicle accident, regardless of severity or fault, must not be reused and will be deemed unsafe.

  • Any car seat or capsule that is stolen, including from a vehicle or accommodation, remains the responsibility of the hirer.

  • In the event of an accident, theft, or loss, the hirer will be charged the full replacement cost of the item, including accessories.

  • It is the hirer’s responsibility to seek reimbursement through their own insurance where applicable.


9. Cleaning Requirements (Hire Items)

  • Items are supplied clean and must be returned clean and free of food, dirt, sand, smoke, and dairy residue.

  • Cleaning fees apply:

    • General cleaning: $25

    • Smoke exposure: $50

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in vehicles using our child restraints.


10. Car Seat Installation – Hire Items

  • Where car seats or capsules are hired from Bubs2Bratz, installation is offered as a complimentary service only.

  • Complimentary installation is not guaranteed and is subject to staff availability, operational requirements, and booking capacity at the time of collection.

  • There may be days or periods where installation services are unavailable. In these instances, the car seat must be self-installed by the customer in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • The unavailability of complimentary installation does not constitute a failure to supply the hire item or service.

  • No refund, partial refund, or credit will be provided where complimentary installation is unavailable.

Nothing in this clause limits any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


11. Accredited Installation of Customer-Owned Seats

  • Accredited installation of customer-owned car seats is offered as a paid service.

  • Pricing and availability are outlined on our website and are subject to booking confirmation.

  • Additional accessories (e.g. extension seatbelts) may be required and are charged separately.


12. Cancellations

All cancellations must be made in writing.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Cancellation with 48 hours or less notice: No refund

  • Cancellation more than 48 hours and up to 7 days prior: 50% refund

  • Cancellation more than 7 days prior: $25 cancellation fee per item or service

Fees paid to secure availability are non-refundable.

Peak Travel Periods

During peak travel periods, a 50% cancellation fee will apply regardless of the amount of notice given.

Peak travel periods include, but are not limited to:

  • Easter

  • Christmas and New Year period

  • Long weekends

  • School holidays

  • Major local or regional events

  • Any other period identified by Bubs2Bratz as high demand

This is due to increased demand, staffing requirements, and the reduced ability to rebook cancelled services or hire items during these periods.

The remaining 50% (if applicable) will be refunded where cancellation occurs outside of 48 hours and where no other non-refundable fees apply.


13. Returns & Refunds – Retail

  • No returns, refunds, or exchanges on sale or clearance items.

  • No refunds on change of mind purchases. In store credit may be provided at staff discretion.

  • Faulty items may be exchanged or credited where a replacement is unavailable, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. No cash refunds.


14. Capsule Hire – Specific Conditions

  • A $50 non-refundable deposit per capsule is required.

  • Cancellation:

    • 7 days or less: No refund

    • 7 – 14 days: 50% refund (excluding deposit)

    • More than 14 days: $50 cancellation fee per capsule

  • Any additional items included in the same booking incur standard cancellation fees.


15. Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery and collection fees apply as advertised.

  • Deliveries operate Monday to Saturday only, unless otherwise agreed with an out-of-hours fee.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring accessibility at delivery and collection locations.


16. Availability & Operational Impact

By booking with Bubs2Bratz, the customer acknowledges that:

  • Staff time, equipment, and capacity are allocated at confirmation

  • Late cancellations or change of mind requests may prevent rebooking of the service slot


17. Goodwill Measures

Bubs2Bratz may, at its discretion, offer alternative solutions or goodwill gestures (including loan items or rescheduling).
Such gestures do not constitute an admission of fault or an entitlement to a refund.


18. Acceptance of Terms

By completing a booking or purchase with Bubs2Bratz, the customer confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Holiday Trading Hours

We’re taking a well-deserved break over the Christmas period, which means our trading hours will be temporarily reduced. While we aim to remain open outside the gazetted public holidays, our operating hours will be adjusted and confirmed soon.
Please note: Any purchases made between December 24th and January 6th will be shipped on January 7th.

🎁 Hiring Items Over Christmas & New Year

If you need to hire items for the Christmas/New Year period, please arrange collection ON or BEFORE December 23rd.

We will NOT be open on Christmas Eve, December 24th.

Items CAN be hired during this period, however please note:

  • No car seat installations will be available from December 24th – January 6th

  • No deliveries will be available during this time

👶 Expecting in January or February?
If you require a child restraint installation, please book ahead so we can accommodate you early in the new year.
If you’re hiring a capsule or other pregnancy, breastfeeding, or newborn essentials, please arrange collection on or before December 23rd.

✈️ Travelling to Townsville?

If you need hire items for your stay – or if you live locally and want to hire essentials for visiting family or friends – please ensure all collections are organised prior to 5pm December 23rd.
